Hand shaking ceremony

Yesterday, hubby took half a day off to be home to wait for the TV repair guy to come over to diagnose the problem of our TV. The final diagnosis was TV spoilt. We are going to purchase a new TV.

Cookies as usual bark loudly, wagged her tail at the same time at the TV repair guy when the guy first arrived at our door step. Due to the repair guy is a man, Cookies show off her talent, hand shaking. She loves to hand shake with man. She might became a nuisance after a while. Hubby was talking to the TV repair guy, Cookies sat in front of the guy and keep lifting up her front leg and offer hand shake. That moment must be really cute.

If you are a lady, chances for her to shake your hands is much lesser than man.

Home sweet home

Cookies is back home after a few days stay at the dog hotel. This time round she is better adjust to the stay at the hotel. Manage to eat her meals.
When we pick her from the hotel, to our surprise she only complain a little. Glad that she is fine with her stay. From the staff feedback she on and off will climb to the window and see.

Just a few day stay at the hotel, she has a really strong doggy smell. First thing she reach home, immediately straight to the bathroom and have her shower.

Happy and contented at home. Sleeping away after her bath.

Outing

Last Saturday, was a free Saturday for us. We took Cookies out in the morning to the car workshop. Hubby's car was send to the workshop for servicing. When we reached there, the place was very crowded. We took time to have our breakfast at the coffee shop within the same building where the workshop is located. After waiting close to two hours we went back and collected the car.

Off we went. I told hubby that I would like to visit Lowean Garden market. I saw the adv on Expat Living magazine. Hubby agreed to take me there. We detour our route as we got a call from a church member that they needed some thing which we knew where to purchase them. We offer to do so. After dropping the stuff at the church premise we headed to Lowean Garden.

Lots of nice stuffs to buy and tried. They are really generous in the food sampling portion. Not like those at the supermarket. We brought a small bottle of olive oil to dip bread and a box of coffee chocolate. The chocolate is super great! Only cash transaction. Next month, hope to go again.

Just to share this lovely place:
Located at Tanglin place, Lowean Garden (near to Dempsey hill)
Cash transaction only. Remember to bring more cash along
Operate every month, first Saturday

What next! A place for lunch. Hubby wanted to have French food that afternoon. He rang a few restaurants to find out if dog is allowed to be at the outdoor premise. Finally we found a place that allowed. We were so happy about it. Off we went to Holland area. Found a parking lot, tear the parking coupons for an hour. Headed straight to the restaurant. When we were there, the waiter saw our dog, oops no dog allowed. What! We really feel cheated. Hubby was very nice and calm. Accepted the apology from the waiter who heard dog as dark. He got to go for a ear check. Over the phone, nine he heard as five.

If I were the one to approached him. The situation would be different. I would not be that nice to him. Just accepted the apology. Wasted my travelling time, money and fuel, and what more my lunch mood was greatly affected. I felt cheated and angry.

We settled our lunch at Botanic garden. What a day!

Some random pictures of Cookies at Labrador Park

Taking a break

Look what she has with her. Learning French! Cookies is learning French.
She must be taking abreak from her French.

A visit to town

Few weeks ago, Hubby took me and Cookies to a French restaurant in town. It is really great that we found another place to have our meals at the same time they allow pet. The restaurant is owned by a French couple. They serve crepes. I try the sweet one that come with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. There are other choice of ice-cream to choose from.

Another visit to the vet

Cookies's skin condition did not improve. The groomer from Pet Lover mention that her skin is not improving from the last time he met her for grooming. So sad to hear that even after we spend time and money to take her for a second visit to the vet to see her skin's problem.
Look like we need to look for another vet.

After reviewing some comments about some vets, we finally took her to Sunset way one of the clinic for another opinion. The clinic was really crowded. Hubby took her down with him first as I had an appointment. I took a cab down to meet them after my appointment. The total damage for that day was really huge. It is really expensive to see a vet. We waiting for almost 3 hours.

The vet was very gentle to Cookies. Cookies gave paws to the vet upon request. Surprisingly she was pretty calm that day inside the consultation room. The vet spend some times explaining the cause and the treatment that he would like to carry out. She is now on medication daily. Look like there is some improvement. The skin area is not that red. She is no longer need to wear the shield. She is really happy about it.

I was worried she might give me hard time to take her medication. My worries are too much. Wrapped the tablets in some cheese, she happily took them.

She will need to be reviewed by the vet in 5 weeks time. Hope every things go well on that day. We had booked an early morning appointment. Hope that the wait will not be too long.
